THINGS TO AVOID AFTER
PMU/COSMETIC TATTOOING

  • AVOID facials, swimming pools, whirlpools, beaches, and waterways for at least 14 days.

  • AVOID moisturizers, creams, and makeup on area for 14 days.

  • AVOID hot steamy showers especially with scar camouflage and brows.

  • NO vigorous exercise or sweating for 5-7 days after.

  • DO NOT dye or tweeze eyebrows for 5-7 days after.

  • DO NOT use peroxide or Neosporin on ANY areas.

  • DO NOT scrub or pick treated areas.

  • DO NOT use any Acids on or around the treated area for 30 days after. Including RetinA.

  • DO NOT expose the area to sun or tanning beds. PIGMENTS WILL HEAL DARKER IN TAN SKIN. TAN SKIN BLEEDS THEREFORE PIGMENT WILL NOT TAKE AND WILL LOOK BLURRED. EVEN AFTER THEY ARE HEALED, SUN EXPOSURE WILL CAUSE THE TATTOO TO DARKEN AS YOUR SKIN DARKENS AND THIS CANNOT BE LIGHTENED EVER. IT IS RECOMMENDED TO KEEP OUT OF THE SUN and possible third session is needed to correct.

  • No chemical peels or lasers 30 days prior and must wait 30 days after (avoiding the forehead is recommended). IF YOU DO FREQUENT PEELS AND LASERS THE BROWS WILL FADE QUICKER DUE TO THE CHEMICALS TRAVELING UNDER THE SKIN. THIS WILL HAPPEN.

*FAILURE TO FOLLOW POST-PROCEDURAL INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN LOSS OR DISCOLORATION OF PIGMENT

*THE KNOWN POSSIBLE COMPLICATIONS FROM MICRO-PIGMENTATION ARE: REDNESS, SWELLING, PUFFINESS, BRUISING, DRY PATCHES, AND TENDERNESS. IT IS NORMAL TO LOSE APPROXIMATELY l/3 OF THE COLOR DURING THE HEALING PROCESS. AFTER INITIAL PROCEDURE, THE COLOR MAY APPEAR HEAVIER. IT WILL APPEAR SOFTER WHEN COMPLETELY HEALED.

*Note: Permanent makeup procedures are affected by the canvas (your skin) that they are performed on. If your skin is sun damaged (even from tanning beds), thick and uneven in texture, and/or excessively dry or oily, the result cannot be expected to be perfect after the initial procedure. Scars on the lips from fever blisters cause pigment removal. Lifestyle, medications, smoking, metabolism, facial surgery, and age of skin, all contribute to fading. Touch ups are needed 6-8 weeks after your initial procedure to ensure the best results and to keep your permanent makeup looking the best.

**PMU is a two-part application. It is not uncommon to lose up to 30-50% of the color upon your first application. If doing a correction, it is possible to need a third treatment. Upon your 6–8-week touchup the color will stay more vivid.
